Contra Dance
Past Event ....... July 11th, 2008 — 8:00 pm
Friday, July 11, 8-11 p.m., in Callahan Hall, an evening of traditional New England contra dancing to the band “Perpetual eMotion,” featuring fiddler Ed Howe, guitarist John Cote and friends. Come celebrate summer with some super hot music in a very cool venue (this hall is air-conditioned!). Admission: a bargain at only $2 for students, $5 others. No experience required; all dances are taught & called throughout, and beginners are very welcome. Come with or without a partner. For more information, call 513-3050. Note: this dance replaces the usual 2nd-Friday dance at Bates College, which is on hiatus for the summer.
