Let’s Talk About It: Across Cultures & Continents: Literature of the Indian Experience

Thursday, September 16, 6:00-7:30 p.m., in the Couture Room.   The first in a series of five monthly reading and discussion programs.  The book being discussed on 9/16 is A Passage to India, by E. M. Forster. (PLEASE NOTE: The series is full and the waiting list is closed.)

The Lewiston Public Library has again been selected by the Maine Humanities Council to offer “Let’s Talk About It,” a free reading and discussion group series beginning this September 16 and running monthly through January 2011.  This year’s series is entitled Across Cultures & Continents: Literature of the Indian Experience and our facilitator will be Sagaree Sengupta, a lecturer in Asian Studies at Bates College.

This program is provided by the Maine Humanities Council’s Harriet P. Henry Center for the Book in cooperation with the Maine State Library.  It is supported locally by the Friends of the Lewiston Public Library.

All programs in the series will take place on Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. and will be held in the Library’s first floor Couture Room.
