Teen Summer Reading a big success!

Winners claimed their prizes recently  following LPL’s  very successful First Teen Summer Reading program, Make Waves @ Lewiston Public Library.

Jess Soucy took the Grand Prize — an iPod Touch — for logging the most hours of reading time during the June 14-July 24 contest:   217 hours over 6 weeks!

Maurice Jennison and Mohamed Mohamed each won the  raffle drawing,

Maurice taking the RipStick Caster Board and Mohamed snagging the iPod Nano.  Readers earned chances to enter the raffle when reporting their weekly reading totals.

Weekly winners who  took smaller prizes and honors for the most minutes read each week included Justin LeClair, Elizabeth Clement,  Timothy Dube, and Tyler Gutshall.

Teen VISTA Molly Ladd, who ran the program with the assistance of the Reference Desk staff,  says she is already looking forward to next year!
