Teens create banner answering question: Who Am I?

Past Event ....... February 15th, 2011 — 3:30 pm

Today the Lewiston Public Library will be starting an ongoing project to create a giant banner for the Teen Room with a theme of self-identity in the Lewiston-Auburn community! Young adults ages 13 and up are invited to take part in the planning and hands-on creation of this personalized fabric banner. No sewing skills are needed– all you have to be able to do is cut out pieces, embellish, and get creative! Sally, a banner artist from Portland, will be leading the project (and doing most of the sewing!).

Today, February 15th at 3pm in the Teen Room, the banner project will begin! We hope lots of youth will show up to help start the project today. There will also be future opportunities to work on the banner, so be on the lookout for our next banner project day! Attached is a .pdf flyer (Requires Adobe Reader)  advertising the event this afternoon. Please share with youth in the community!
