Due to today’s storm, this program has been cancelled.  Teens (and adults) interested in seeing Bamuthi are urged to attend his free staged reading of “red, black & GREEN: a blues” on Friday, Jan 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Olin Arts Concert Hall (75 Russell St.) on the Bates College campus.

Program for Teens interested in the Perform Your Mind Series

Bamuthi will talk about his work, and maybe offer a short excerpt from one of his pieces. High school students might get to take part in a creative word exercise as well.. Registration forms for the Perform Your Mind program will be on hand for High-School students interested in honing their spoken-word skills. This program is free and open to anyone of high school age.

Marc Bamuthi Joseph is a two-time winner of the National Poetry Slam. He will be presenting Red, Black & GREEN: a blues at Bates College the following day. More information about that program can be found on Bates’ website.
