Great Falls Forum: “Maine to New York–Local Girl Sets Up Shop in the Big Apple’s Arts Scene”

Beth Morrison is an Edward Little alum who is living her dream in New York City as the creative producer of Beth Morrison Projects, an internationally-renown arts production company. At the May Great Falls Forum Beth will be sharing her story which began with the EL Show Choir and Drama Club and has taken her to famous venues around the world including Lincoln Center, the Estates National Theatre of Prague and the Beijing Music Festival. This Forum event will take place in the Library’s Callahan Hall from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22.

Beth Morrison Projects (BMP) identifies and supports the work of emerging and established composers and their multi-media collaborators through the commission, development, and production of works in a variety of genres, including music-theatre, opera-theatre, chamber music, song-cycle, dance, theatre, film, mixed media work, and new forms waiting to be discovered. Established in 2006, BMP has quickly developed a reputation for successfully “envisioning new possibilities and finding ways to facilitate their realization” (The New York Times).

All Forum programs are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch or to take advantage of the Forum’s partnership with Guthries Cafe and order from their menu in advance of the presentation; bottled water, coffee and tea will be available at the Library.
