Teen Summer Reading Here
Beginning on June 13th, teenagers (ages 13-18) will have a weekly chance to win great prizes — simply by reading 3 or more hours per week. The library wants to encourage teenagers to keep up with their reading during the long summer months so they will not lose academic ground during the break.
Participants may read any type of reading material & any genre they want. As long as they meet their reading goal for the week, they will be eligible to choose from a weekly prize or a raffle ticket for a larger prize. The raffle drawing will be held at the beginning of August, and prizes include Dr. Dre Beats headphones, soccer balls, beading kits, Flagship Cinemas gift cards, and an iPod shuffle.
Teens may signup as early as June 13th, and the first week to read begins on June 17th.
