Contra Dancing for all in Callahan Hall!

Past Event ....... August 10^th, 2012 — 7-11 PM

Join us for a night of Contra Dancing!

7 to 8 PM: Family barn dance featuring fun & easy contras, squares & more led by caller Cindy Larock to music performed by The Golden Schleppers, starring 89-yr-old Franco fiddler Maurice Pelletier. Beginner-friendly, for young & old alike. Admission: $1. 

8 to 11 PM: Caller Maggie Robinson leads an evening of traditional New England contra dancing to the band Groove Train, featuring siblings Lilly & Neil Pearlman on fiddle & piano and Julia Plumb on fiddle and viola.  No experience required; all dances taught and beginners welcome. Come with or without a partner. Admission: $5, $3 for students.
