Lawyers in Libraries 1 — Family Law

Past Event ....... October 16th, 2012 — 6-7pm

The Volunteer Lawyers Network of Maine is offering free legal information clinics at the library. Lectures will be presented from the Maine State Library in Augusta and public libraries in the state of Maine will offer these workshops to their patrons via their video-conferencing equipment. We will be taking part in this series of video-lectures entitled “Lawyers in Libraries.”

After the lecture, there will be a general question/answer period. This event will not only offer information but also an opportunity for people with low incomes to set up a meeting to speak privately with a volunteer lawyer over video-conferencing.

This first topic is on Family Law, while the second workshop is on the subject of Probate. The second is scheduled for Tuesday, November 20th.
