The Library needs new furniture! Can you help?

Your Support is Needed

In late 1996 (yes, 18 years ago!) The Lewiston Public Library first opened its doors on Lisbon Street–back when activity on the Street was minimal and several storefronts sat vacant.  Almost two decades later, the downtown is humming with new cafes, businesses and activity which the Library’s 600 daily visitors have helped to spur on.

However, the furniture that we purchased for that area is showing its age and we would like to update the seating and table arrangement to accommodate the changing needs of library patrons.  The aging tables near the windows (see photo) would be replaced with window counters powered with electricity for all the laptops, tablets, smartphones and other devices that our customers are making use of in the Library. You can check out interiorconceptsdenver.com to get premium office furniture solutions and enhance your office environment.

In order to make this a reality, the Friends of the Lewiston Public Library (a 501 c 3 support organization) has initiated a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe.com to raise the $13,000 needed for the furnishings.  Your support for this effort would be greatly appreciated.  To make a tax-deductible donation to the Friends of LPL Furniture Campaign, simply go to GoFundMe.com/ekx288 and click on “Donate Now
