New Teen Writing Circle!

teen writing groupWriting is FUN! That’s what the new Teen Writing Circle at LPL is all about. This group is for youth interested in improving their writing skills or seeking a place to practice and share their creative writing pieces!  The group meets every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 3:30-4:30 in the Teen Room. Each meeting will provide youth with a fun (optional) writing prompt or project, as well as opportunities to meet with peer and adult editors.  Editing is a crucial stage of the writing process, so feel free to bring your latest poem, short story, or school essay-all forms of writing are welcomed!To learn more, come to the Teen Writing Circle Kick-off Event on Wednesday, January 20th from 3:30-6pm at LPL. We will have a FREE screening of the film “Freedom Writers,” followed by a short discussion. All attendees will be given their own writing journal and pen, and copies of the book “Freedom Writers” will be given away while supplies last.
