How do I get a library card?
Library cards are free to anyone living in Lewiston and Auburn or paying property taxes to Lewiston. Students & teachers attending school in Lewiston or Auburn are also entitled to a free card during the school term. All you need is identification that contains your current street address ( driver’s license, utility bill, rent receipt, any piece of recently delivered mail, etc).
Non-Resident Cards
Library Cards are available to non-residents, for a yearly fee of $55. This card entitles the holder to all library services. Non-resident cards must be purchased in the library.
How do I get to LPL & where do I park?
The Lewiston Public Library is located at 200 Lisbon Street in Lewiston, Maine.
There are two parking garages in easy walking distance. One is on the corner of Park St. and Oak St., and the other is on the corner of Ash St. and Canal St. They are marked in blue on the map below. There is also Free parking above Kennedy Park, marked on the map by a red line.
One and two -hour parking is available in front of the library on Lisbon Street and behind the library on Park street. Between 9am and 6pm, Pine street is metered; after 6pm, parking is free.

How do I check my account?
Click “My Account” in the navigation menu at the top of every page. Go directly to the account login page now.
How do I borrow a museum pass?
Thanks to generous donations from the Kiwanis Club and the Rotary Club, LPL offers free & discounted passes to area museums. Details can be found in the kids’ section.
