You’ve decided self-publishing is right for you. You’ve brought your manuscript through the multiple editing phases, you have cover art, and you are ready to publish. High five! You decide not to just run your document through an ebook conversion tool that will leave your formatting swinging in the breeze. Instead, you decide to put a lot of thought and a little bit of work into making sure your book puts its best flap forward and you come to this workshop to learn how. This free workshop will take place in LPL’s Jeanne Couture Room on Friday, March 18th from 3-4 PM.

How to Format eBooks Like a Boss is part of a series of workshops taught by instructor Melissa Walshe, who published her first book, Autumn’s Daughter, in 2014 and will soon be releasing the sequel, Autumn’s Sister. She is a professional copywriter for shines & jecker laboratories, where she is currently developing the website readmaine.com. She has an Ed.M. in language and literacy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in linguistics from the University of Southern Maine.

All sessions are free of charge and will take place on Fridays from 3-4 PM. You do not need to attend all of the sessions.

The SELF-e Indie Writers Workshops are part of an ongoing joint effort by the Lewiston Public Library and Auburn Public Library to support local writers and promote SELF-e, the new library service that allows any Lewiston or Auburn Public Library cardholder to publish their original ebooks through the libraries.
