cooking_clubHey kids! Do you like mixing, mashing, measuring, and making mouthfuls of yummy snacks? Then search no more, because Lots to Gardens’ Kids Cooking Club is back from our break and we’re looking forward to seeing the familiar and new faces cookin’ up a storm.

cooking_club_2010_yar-and-denise1-227x300The Library is the place to sign up for our weekly Kid’s Cooking Club where kids, ages 7 to 12, come together to cook delicious and healthy snacks, play nutrition related games, and make seasonal crafts.

The club will meet every Thursday from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the Lewiston Public Library’s Children Department throughout the year. There’s limited space each week, so participants will be chosen from the sign-up sheet at the desk of the Children’s Department. Parents can call or come by the library to sign children up. If the list is full you can always ask to be put on the waiting list, in case someone doesn’t show up. If you’d like more information, call the Children’s Department at 513-3133. This is a free program.
