On Sat. evening, May 6, we will be hosting a coffee-house style community gathering in LPL’s Callahan Hall from 6:30 until 10:00 p.m. Join us for some food, music, and conversation. The music will feature Michael Krapovicky and Hadithi Adan Abdula. In between musical sets we will be discussing the topic, “What is the rightful role of government in shaping the future of our community?”

The Make Shift Coffee House is a place for people with different views to exchange and consider diverse perspectives. It’s not about persuading or converting each other, but simply hearing one another and understanding where others are coming from.

The conversations will be facilitated by Maine consultant Craig Freshley who developed the Make Shift Coffee House concept. This Lewiston event is being cosponsored by Lewiston Rocks [Facebook page], Project Tipping Point, and LPL.
