Regular Storytimes

Baby Time – Babytime is a fun way to introduce very young children to the library, books, and reading. Babytime features short stories, action rhymes, and songs and is for children from birth to 3 eyars. Wednesdays 10:30-11. Siblings are welcome to attend!

Story Time – Storytime continues from where Babytime breaks off in introducing children to books and reading! Storytime is a fun program featuring stories, rhymes, and a craft and is for children aged 3 to 5. Tuesdays 10:30-11:30.

Not sure which program is right for your child? Give us a call and we can help you decide!

After School and Weekend Programs

The library features a variety of after school programming for children of all ages! Program datesValentine and times may vary so please check the calendar to be sure the event you are looking for is running. Some events may
have age requirements or limited space, please call the library if you have any questions.

Poetry

PAWS To Read – Read to a … dog?? Yes! Research has shown that when children read aloud to dogs their skills & confidence increase. The dog is an uncritical listener as the children explain the story and work through their vocabulary and comprehension. Space is very limited, so if you would like to reserve a spot, please call the Children’s Dept.

artvan2

ArtVan – Art Van is a mobile art program that brings the arts to children. Jamie Silvestri, Program Manager, is an artist with 18 years of experience. She provides hands-on creative opportunities for self-expression, personal growth, and fun.

Cooking Club – Lots to Gardens presents a series of cooking events including games, simple nutritional instruction, & preparation of an easy snack. Participants will need to sign up at the Children’s Desk. Class size is limited to 8 and this is a very popular program, so call right away!

Artsy-Fartsy Storytime – One of our library technicians hosts a themed story time and then a craft afterward, once a month on Saturdays (check our calendar for more specific dates each month).

Beyond Finger Paint – We host an art-exploration one Saturday a month, where we try to think outside the box and get creative with the materials at hand, to create art!
