Teen Manga ContestShow off your skills in the Manga Contest!

Get ready to draw – LPL Teen is holding a manga drawing contest, and we want to see your art!

From October 1st to November 9th, teen artists can submit one piece of manga art to join the contest. Submissions will be displayed in the LPL teen space and on library social media for voting from November 10th to November 23rd. The winning artist in each category will receive a pack of manga art supplies and a $15 gift certificate to Bull Moose as a prize!

What kind of art can I enter?

Traditional art must be no larger than a standard piece of printer paper. Digital art must be no larger than 2550×3300 pixels. Because this is a manga drawing contest, your art must also be in that style. Everything else is up to you!

How do I join?

Send us your art by Monday, October 31st! There are two ways to enter:

  • Join online with this form
    • After filling out your information, the form will let you upload a file.
  • Drop it off in person at the 2nd floor Reference Desk

What are the rules?

⚬ Submissions begin on October 1st. Art must be received by the Teen Library on or before October 31st.

⚬ One artwork per artist.

⚬ Art must be 8.5×11 inches (one letter-sized piece of paper) or smaller. Digital files must be 2550×3300 pixels or smaller.

⚬ All art must be your own work.

⚬ Subject matter must be appropriate for display on Library social media and in the Teen Library space.

⚬ Art pieces will be shared on our social media for voting and displayed in the teen space. If you do not want your art to be shared, please do not join the contest.

⚬ Participants must be between the ages of 13 and 19 and live or go to school in Lewiston Public Library’s service area of Androscoggin County.

How do I vote?
  • On Facebook: Go to the Teen Manga Contest 2022 photo album to see the full sized entries and “like” your favorites in each of our two categories: traditional art and digital art.
  • On Instagram: View the full sized entries in our Manga Contest 22 story highlight and react to your favorite pieces in each of our two categories: traditional art and digital art.
  • On Discord: Available for teens only. Join the LPL Teen Discord server for more information.
  • In person: Head to the Teen Lounge on the 2nd floor of the library to see the pieces in person and cast your votes.
