AARP Program: Fraud & Scam Prevention

 

On Monday, April 23^rd, the Lewiston Public Library will host longtime AARP volunteer Louise Theberge for a talk on common scams and how members of the public can take steps to protect their private information and finances. The free public program will take place in the Library’s 1^st floor Jeanne Couture Room from 3-4 PM.

This discussion will cover a multitude of scams and participants will be given informational booklets with further tips and resources, followed by time for Q&A.

AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, social welfare organization that, according to its mission, “helps people turn their goals and dreams into real possibilities, strengthens communities and fights for the issues that matter most to families — such as health care, employment and income security, and protection from financial abuse.” This program is offered free of charge and no registration is required.
