The Changing Face of Home

On Thursday evening, May 15th, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. LPL will be hosting a community discussion on the meaning of “home” and how the concept of home has changed for many residents of Lewiston/Auburn over the last decade.  This is a special program funded by the Maine Humanities Council as part of their Let’s Talk Local: What it Means to be a Mainer series.

This program is free and open to the public.  No registrations are required.

The event will open with five local individuals telling a personal story about what home means to them.  These opening stories will be used as starting points to launch into small group discussions on “The Changing Face of Home.”

This program is being co-sponsored locally by Community Concepts, the Harward Center for Community Partnerships at Bates College, and Lewiston Adult Education.  We’re hoping to bring a diverse cross-section of our community together for this thoughtful discussion.
