A Day in the Life of a Criminal Defense Lawyer with Leonard J. Sharon

On April 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Lewiston Public Library and the Senior College at USM LAC will give attendees an opportunity to peek into the life of a criminal defense lawyer to see what it takes to represent these clients and to ensure they receive the proper protection and rights afforded to them by the law.

Leonard “Lenny” Sharon has made his career practicing for 44 years as a multi-state criminal defense attorney and has defended people such as Paul Mazzel in a case that involved the Boston College Basketball team and ties with organized crime.

Sharon’s practice is centered in Auburn and he was a past professor at the University of Maine Law School where he taught evidence and negotiations. He is a member of the Maine and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and a past president of the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
