Great Falls Forum with Lisa DeSisto

Feb 15, 2018— 12:00 pm

The 2017-2018 season of the Great Falls Forum continues on Thursday, February 15th, featuring Lisa DeSisto, CEO of Sun Media Group and MaineToday Media, with a talk entitled “A Bright Future for Newspapers.” The program will take place from 12 noon to 1 PM in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library.

While the demise of printed newspapers has been predicted since the dawn of the web, Lisa DeSisto will share her vision of why the future for newspapers, particularly in Maine, appears bright but challenging. She’ll describe the evolving business model and importance of delivering quality journalism across all platforms.

The Great Falls Forum is a monthly, brown-bag speaker series featuring statewide and regional leaders in public policy, business, academia and the arts. The programs are free, open to all and no reservations are required. Coffee, tea and bottled water are provided for a donation at the event. The Forum is a co-sponsorship of the Sun JournalBates College and LPL.
