- Book Chat: 2020 Favorites – Join LPL staff for a conversation about what we’re reading, watching, and listening to on Facebook Live.Make suggestions, share your thoughts, find resources, and get personalized recommendations from our librarians! Our next book chat is coming up on Tuesday, January 5th at 11:30am. Join us to discuss some of our favorite titles we read in 2020, and suggest your own!
- Great Falls Forum with Dr. Nirav Shah & Katie Boss – The 2020-2021 season of the Great Falls Forum continues on Thursday, January 21st featuring Dr. Nirav Shah, Director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, interviewed by local public health professional Katie Boss of Healthy Androscoggin, on the topic “New Year’s Resolutions for Maine’s Health: COVID-19, Vaccines, Mental Health and Looking Ahead.” The program will take place from 1 to 1:45 PM virtually via Zoom and streamed to the Lewiston Public Library Facebook page. Please note that due to the quickly changing nature of the pandemic, the date and time of this program are subject to change at any time. Check our website for the most current information. LPL To Go is now appointment free! We have made a slight change to process and appointments are no longer required for hold pick-up. Simply call the Lending desk at (207) 513-3134 when you arrive and staff will check out your items and meet you at the door.
