LPL Newsletter 09/19/2022

What’s New?
  • Banned Books Week, September 18th through September 24th. Banned Books Week is a celebration of the freedom to access ideas, a fundamental right that belongs to everyone and over which no one person or small group of people should hold sway. The reasons books and other reading materials are banned, where they are challenged, and the people behind the attempted censorship are as varied as the ideas being censored. We have displays featuring banned books across the library.
  • We’re Hiring: Children’s Library Technician, deadline to apply is Tuesday, September 22nd. Essential duties include planning and presenting a variety of innovative and engaging programs and services for children from birth through middle school, creating book displays, and collaborating with community partners and other library staff.
