1000 Paper Cranes for Lewiston

Linda Homer of Southwest Harbor organized volunteers to create one thousand paper cranes, known as a symbol of hope and healing. Strung from two hearts, the cranes were made by people across the state and beyond.
Its plaque reads: “One thousand cranes symbolize Peace and Hope. Each crane carries a wish from the person who made it. This is our small contribution from the people of Maine to the Lewiston community.”
What a gift! Truly, the pictures do not do it justice; come by and see it for yourself on the second floor near the magazines. A comfy chair is conveniently located nearby for thoughtful viewing.
