What’s New?
- Founding BookReach Volunteer Retiring after 25 Years. Mac McPeake, the founding volunteer of the BookReach program, is retiring after 25 years of service. The Auburn and Lewiston public libraries will forever be grateful for the impact Mac has had on our community through his dedicated early-literacy work.
- Great Falls Forum Recording on YouTube. In a talk entitled “Climate Change and Blue Acceleration in the Gulf of Maine,” Dr. Kanae Tokunaga, Senior Scientist in Coastal and Marine Economics at the Gulf of Maine Research Institute, discusses recent global and local trends in ocean use, what climate resilience looks like in global and local fisheries, and challenges associated with blue acceleration and increasing demands for ocean space.

- Teen & Friends Magic: the Gathering Club, Tuesday, March 5th at 3pm. New players will have the chance to make their first starter deck and receive guidance on how to play and test their skills against other teens!
- Sadie’s Fiber Arts Club, Wednesday, March 6th at 3:30pm. Kids will have the opportunity to create a hands-on fiber arts craft with local fiber artist, Sadie, in the Children’s Department at the Library.
- Homework Help, Every Thursday at 3pm. Needing some help with your schoolwork? Come to the Lewiston Public Library every Thursday starting February 29th to work alongside Bates tutors from the Harward Center!
- March Madness with the Masons, happening all March. This March, the Library is bringing the Masonic Lodge literacy program to children in Lewiston and Auburn and to give away brand new bikes and Kindle Fire tablets.

- Little Keepsakes: Headbands & Wraps, Friday, March 15th at 10am. Caregivers will be able to create personalized headbands, wraps, or hats for their young children using a variety of embellishments and materials.
