What’s New?
- Disability Pride Month Film. To celebrate Disability Pride Month, Kanopy has curated a collection of thoughtful documentaries and narrative films featuring those living with disabilities. Free to stream for library card holders!
- Summer Display in Children’s Room. Stop into the Children’s Department to check out our summer themed book display.
- Interlibrary Loan Temporarily Suspended. Due to an issue with our contracted book delivery service, the Maine State Library has made the decision to turn off materials requesting between libraries beginning last week, which means that no new holds can be placed and existing holds will not be fulfilled.
This Week @ LPL
- Teen Button Making, Thursday, July 18th at 4pm. Our self-serve button making station is available for all teens, grab a backing, a cool design, and bring it all together to make something great!
- Lewiston Contradance, Friday, July 19th at 7pm. Our caller this month will be Cindy Larock with music by Greg and Jessie Boardman, happening at Callahan Hall at LPL!

- Community Puzzle Swap, Wednesday, July 24th at 10:30am. Bring a puzzle or two to swap or just come take one of ours, no registration or other preparation is required.
- Baby Bib Keepsakes, Friday, July 26th at 10am. During this program caregivers will be able to decorate a personalized bib for their babies. The activity is designed for caregivers with babies between the ages of birth-18 months.
- Art Walk & Book Sale, Friday, July 26th at 5pm. Head out on the town for Art Walk LA to experience ART, MUSIC & MORE on the Final Friday of the month!
- Taiko Maine Dojo, Saturday, July 27th at 11am. Join us for this incredible performance of Japanese drumming, dancing and music.

- Northern Stars Planetarium, Tuesday, July 30th at 5:30pm. Northern Stars Planetarium is a fully equipped inflatable star theater that comes directly to your library! Registration is required.
