What’s New?
- Register for these events coming in April:
- Paint Night, Tuesday, April 15th at 4pm. Adults of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to join us at the library for an evening of watercolor painting.
- Garden Party Murder Mystery, Saturday, April 26th at 5pm. Support the READy to Grow Campain to renovate LPL’s children’s department by attending this after-hours event, which includes dinner, a raffle, and a team based race to solve the fictional murder of Lily Pine, found dead at her grandmother’s annual garden party.
- Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day:
- Learn the Irish Language. Get some useful Irish phrases under your belt for St. Patrick’s Day and check out Mango Languages’ Irish and St. Patrick’s Day specialty courses!
- Stream Irish Film. In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, Kanopy is showcasing a curated collection of films that explore the rich history, culture, and traditions of Ireland.

- Yarn Swap, Wednesday, March 19th at 2pm. Over the years, the library has accumulated a collection of leftover yarn. Drop by to trade your unwanted yarn collection with us and your fellow crafters. All yarn colors, styles, and quantities are welcome!
- Great Falls Forum, Thursday, March 20th at 12pm. Wabanakis Then and Now. Join Maulian Bryant, in conversation with Bates College history professor Joseph Hall, as they discuss the past, present, and future of indigenous peoples in Maine.
- Teen Art Club, Thursday, March 20th at 3:30pm. Teens can work on any artistic project they wish. Supplies will be free and available for all teens.
Next Week @ LPL
- ArtVan, Wednesday, March 26th at 3:30pm. ArtVan is a mobile art program that brings hands-on creative art opportunities for self-expression, personal growth, and fun. All of their projects aim to inspire art-making with a variety of materials to explore.
- March Madness with the Masons, all March. Deadline extended! This Masonic Lodge literacy program is for children in Lewiston and Auburn and will give away brand new bikes, Kindle Fire tablets, scooters and fishing kits.
