What’s New?
- The Library is Hiring Part Time Library Assistants. We are seeking friendly and assertive individuals with excellent customer service skills to work at the library public service desks.
- Watch Last Month’s Talk on YouTube. In a talk entitled “One Writer’s Path: Libraries, Librarians, and the Power of Storytelling,” Join Author Monica Wood as she discusses the impact of libraries in her own journey as a professional writer.

- Foraging for Edible Mushrooms, Thursday, May 8th at 5pm. Join mushrooming author and teacher Greg Marley for a talk devoted to some common “foolproof” mushrooms found in the Northeastern US.
- Dinosaur Tote Bag Keepsakes, Friday, May 9th at 10am. This Keepsake program will have materials available for caregivers to decorate a personalized tote bag using the handprints and footprints of their babies and young children on a dinosaur-themed tote bag.
- Kids Painting Class, Saturday, May 10th at 11am. Come learn how to paint a spring scene with step-by-step instruction by local artist, Nicole Ann. Get creative by painting a floral scene using acrylic paints on canvas panels, perfect for gifting on Mother’s Day.

- ArtVan, Wednesday, May 14th at 3:30pm. ArtVan is a mobile art program that brings hands-on creative art opportunities for self-expression, personal growth, and fun. All of their projects aim to inspire art-making with a variety of materials to explore.
- Great Falls Forum with Hannah Pingree, Thursday, May 15th at 12pm. Join Hannah Pingree as she discusses public service, government policy, and her own career path.
- Teen Art Club, Thursday, May 15th at 3:30pm. Teens can work on any artistic project they wish. Supplies will be free and available for all teens.
- Meet & Greet Ryan T. Higgins, Saturday, May 17th at 11am. This year’s L/A Read book pick is We Don’t Eat Our Classmates by Maine author Ryan T. Higgins. Join us for a Meet and Greet with Ryan T. Higgins, Penelope and Bruce! Enjoy a book reading and interactive drawing, photo opportunities with Ryan, Penelope and Bruce, and book signing.
Mark Your Calendar
- The Library will be closed Saturday, May 24th through Monday, May 26th for Memorial Day. We will reopen at 9:30am on Tuesday, May 27th.
