Altered Book Art!

Join us in the IDEA Lab on Thursday, May 30th, from 5:00 to 6:30pm to make Altered Book Art!  We’ll be using retired library books, paints, glues, and other materials to design original artworks. Exploring collage, decoupage, and transfer processes, you can create what you wish and take it home. Adults and teens are welcome to participate in this free program. No registration is necessary.

For more information, call the Adult & Teen Services Desk at 207.513.3135, or email lplreference@gmail.com.

IDEA: Innovation | Design | Engineering | Art

The IDEA Lab at LPL is a place where people can gather to create, invent, tinker, break, experiment, discover, collaborate, and engage in learning by using a variety of tools, materials and technology. It is a Makerspace – a place to empower people to become active creators rather than passive consumers. Users are welcomed into the space to create something new while they develop important skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and determination, all within a safe, learning-centered environment.
