Chloe’s Lunar New Year with Author Lily LaMotte
On Wednesday, April 26th at 2:00PM, visit with Lily LaMotte, author of Chloe’s Lunar New Year and Measuring Up in Callahan Hall. The first ten children to arrive at the program will receive a free copy of Chloe’s Lunar New Year. This program is recommended for ages 4 and up and no registration is required.
Lily LaMotte will read her book Chloe’s Lunar New Year while the children color on pages created by the book’s illustrator Michelle Lee. Lily will also share her Taiwanese culture with music and a snack.
Lily LaMotte is the debut author of the middle grade graphic novel Measuring Up from HarperCollins/HarperAlley and the picture book Chloe’s Lunar New Year. Her next middle grade graphic novel, Unhappy Camper, is forthcoming from HarperAlley. She is a graduate of Hamline’s MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults. She’s passionate about libraries and served on the King County Library System Foundation board. When she isn’t writing, she cooks up new recipes, and explores new crafts.
