Getting Down to Business: Insights from Local Entrepreneurs
On Friday, February 27, at 12 noon in LPL’s Callahan Hall, the Great Falls Forum will feature a panel of diverse Lewiston/Auburn entrepreneurs: “Getting Down to Business: Insights from Local Entrepreneurs.”
What does it take to be a successful entrepreneur? What is it like to build a business in central Maine today? Find out at this month’s Great Falls Forum as local entrepreneurs share their stories and engage audience members in conversation about the challenges, joys, and surprises of starting one’s own business.
The panelists will consist of: Luke Livingston of Baxter Brewing Co.; Safia Hersi of Al-Madina; Colby Michaud of Praxis Production Studios; and Kim Jacques of Revelation Massage. Each panelist will have the opportunity to provide an overview of their business, followed by a question and answer session moderated by the Director of the Harward Center for Community Partnerships at Bates College, Darby Ray.
Admission is free to all Forum events and no reservations are required. This program is a bring-your-own brown-bag lunch event. Coffee, tea and bottled water will be available on site at the library.
The Great Falls Forum is co-sponsored by the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, Bates College, Lewiston Public Library and the Sun Journal. The Lewiston Public Library is located downtown at 200 Lisbon Street at the corner of Pine Street.
