On Thursday, March 17th at 12 noon in LPL’s Callahan Hall, Restorative Justice Consultant Margaret Micolichek will be addressing the Great Falls Forum on “When We Cry for Justice, What do We Really Mean? – In Celebration of Ten Years of Restorative Practices in Maine.”

When crime happens relationships are violated; restorative justice is an approach which focuses on repairing those relationships and righting the wrong in a way that allows all parties to move forward. Ms. Micolichek has been a leader in Maine’s restorative justice movement and in her Forum presentation she will be looking back over the last 10 years to provide a historical perspective on the progress which has been made.

The Great Falls Forum is a monthly, brown-bag speaker series featuring statewide and regional leaders in public policy, business, academia and the arts. The programs are free, open to all and no reservations are required. Coffee, tea and bottled water are provided for a donation at the event. The Forum is a co-sponsorship of the Sun Journal, Bates College and LPL.
