Green Dot Workshop
Have you ever seen or heard someone harass or bully another person, and wished you knew what to say or do? Most of us have. We are much more likely to be a bystander than either a participant or a victim of hateful and hurtful words and harmful behavior. Green Dot teaches safe and proven-effective Bystander Intervention techniques that every member of a community can use, both proactively to change our culture for the better and reactively to minimize harm. None of us can do everything, but each of us can do our part to make Lewiston-Auburn a safer and more welcoming community.
Green Dot Lewiston-Auburn is offering 2-hour bystander intervention training using Zoom. These are interactive, last about two hours, and are limited to 15 adult participants per session. Registration is required.
Choose from one of the following sessions:
- Monday, February 1st, 10:00 AM
- Monday, February 8th, at 2:00 PM
- Monday, February 15th, at 10:00 AM
- Monday, February 22nd, at 2:00 PM
Please note that each of these is an individual session; this is not a series.
These virtual trainings are co-sponsored by Green Dot, the Lewiston Public Library, and the Auburn Public Library. If you have questions, please contact Green Dot.
