On Monday, September 23 from 3-6:30 PM, over 30 community organizations will be available to members of the public at the Lewiston-Auburn Community Resource Fair. This free event is open to the public and will take place in LPL’s Callahan Hall.

The Lewiston-Auburn Community Resource Fair is a free event designed to connect community members to important resources including education and development, food security, financial benefits, emergency assistance, medical services, mental health services, supports for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault (Title IX attorney for hire can be checked out), legal services, healthy living, home ownership programs, supports for New Mainers, homelessness prevention, case management, employment skills, and much more.

Pine Tree Legal Assistance, the Lewiston Public Library, Immigrant Resource Center of Maine, and SeniorsPlus have teamed up to host the event, which is designed to highlight many services and resources provided by local non-profit and governmental organizations. The main goal is to connect community members to helpful resources by bringing together numerous organizations who will be showcasing the services that each organization offers. Community members can come to the library, which is centrally located, at their convenience for a one stop-shop to learn about over 30 organizations which are spread throughout the community.

Interpreters will be available for those who prefer to use interpretation services as they visit various tables to learn about available services in the community.

More information, including a list of participating organizations, is available on the event’s Facebook page (Lewiston-Auburn Community Resource Fair) which can be found at https://www.facebook.com/events/2517215011633539/.
