You have published a beautiful book online. High five! You chose the rocky road of self-publishing and have neither a marketing budget nor the networking and labor support of a big publisher. You decide neither to become a sleep-deprived zombie nor make your entire social network despise you for your hack-handed pleas for book sales. Instead, you come to this workshop and learn how to market your book while making awesome friends. This free workshop will take place in LPL’s Jeanne Couture Room on Friday, May 20th from 3-4 PM.

Online Book Marketing for Humans is part of a series of workshops taught by instructor Melissa Walshe, who published her first book, Autumn’s Daughter, in 2014 and will soon be releasing the sequel, Autumn’s Sister. She is a professional copywriter for shines & jecker laboratories, where she is currently developing the website readmaine.com. She has an Ed.M. in language and literacy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in linguistics from the University of Southern Maine.

All sessions are free of charge and will take place on Fridays from 3-4 PM. You do not need to attend all of the sessions.

The SELF-e Indie Writers Workshops are part of an ongoing joint effort by the Lewiston Public Library and Auburn Public Library to support local writers and promote SELF-e, the new library service that allows any Lewiston or Auburn Public Library cardholder to publish their original ebooks through the libraries.
