Much Ado About Nothing in Dufresne Plaza!

As part of Lewiston Public Library’s Ye Olde Shakespeare Week, Gypsy Lew Theater Company is excited for the return of Shakespeare in the Plaza, with their production of “Much Ado About Nothing!”

WHEN: August 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 26th at 7:00pm
WHERE: Dufresne Plaza (72 Lisbon St, Lewiston, ME)
HOW: This is a FREE outdoor performance! Bring your blankets and chairs and grab a spot to watch the show. There will be some chairs provided.

ABOUT THE SHOW: When soldiers return from a victorious battle, with all matters of war resolved, it seems there is little to do but party, find love, and meddle in friends’ affairs. This comedy centers around two couples: one, the young and sweet Claudio and Hero, and the other, the reluctant and prideful Beatrice and Benedick, who are caught in a “merry war…of wits.” Our story plays out in the setting of post WWII Hawaii.

Run time: 80 minutes

In the event of rain, performances will be in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library.

This is a free performance because we believe everyone should be able to enjoy community arts events. Donations will be graciously accepted and will go to the artists and will support bringing more events like this in the future.

August 23rd – August 26th at 7pm in Dufresne Plaza.

Run time: 80 minutes.

Rain Site: Callahan Hall
