2020 Summer Reading is Here!

Summer reading is here!  Everything looks a little different this year, but we are so happy to still share summer reading with you. We are offering summer reading programs for children, teens, and adults. We will have 10 weeks of summer reading – June 29th-September 4th.

This year, readers of all ages can choose to track their reading and activities online or via a paper reading log.  To track online, you can create an account through Lewiston Public Library’s Beanstack website. Beanstack allows you to track your reading and activities and collect virtual “badges” along the way. The paper reading log represents the same reading challenges and activities, and can be picked up at the library with your starter kit. Call or email us to schedule a pick up appointment!

Readers of all ages can sign up for the 2020 Lewiston Public Library Summer Reading challenge at lplonline.beanstack.org to get started:

  1. Go to lplonline.beanstack.org
  2. Click on “Register an individual or family”
  3. Answer the questions to create your account
  4. (optional) Add additional family members as ‘readers’ on your account
  5. Choose the age-appropriate reading challenge for each reader
  6. Start  logging your reading and activities!

At the end of summer reading, everyone who has completed their reading challenge will receive a 2020 Summer Reading t-shirt!

You can reach out to us at any time with questions by phone at (207) 513-3004 or email at lplreference@lewistonmaine.gov. We are here to help ensure that everyone has access to books and literacy this summer, despite all the challenges we currently face. Come read with us!
