Highlights:

The library will be closed on Monday, October 12th in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

Our next Book Chat is on Tuesday, October 6th at 11:30am. Join us to talk about some of our favorite Science Fiction titles.

The 2020-2021 season of the Great Falls Forum continues on Thursday, October 15th, featuring Dr. Emmanuel Kayembe, Fellow for Franco-American Studies at the University of Southern Maine, with a talk entitled “Francophonie, Immigration, Cultural Diversity and Intercultural Identities in the USA.”

Sign up to grab a spot for this month’s Teen Book Box! From September-December 2020, LPL Teen will be creating a monthly subscription box for local Lewiston teen readers. Each box will contain 3 brand new books, a book-related gift, and a craft or activity on the month’s theme. We will mail the box to you and all of the books and materials are yours — free and to keep forever! There are a limited number of boxes available each month, so be sure to register ASAP to reserve your spot! October’s theme is Voting & Elections Sign up here!

Ms. Jackie is back! Join us for our VIRTUAL weekly combo of Babytime & Preschool Storytime: a fun, interactive activity for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers that helps introduce children to the world of books, learning, and the library. This weekly program will take place via Zoom – to register, please call or email the Children’s Department at 207-513-3133 or lplkids@lewistonmaine.gov.
