Highlights:

**The library will be closed on Wednesday, November 11th, in honor of Veteran’s Day**

The 2020-2021 season of the Great Falls Forum continues on Thursday, November 19th featuring a discussion between John Baughman, Associate Professor of Politics at Bates College, and Michael Sargent, Associate Professor of Psychology at Bates College, on the topic “Election 2020: What Happened and What Does It All Mean?” The program will take place from 12 noon to 1 PM virtually via Zoom and streamed to the Lewiston Public Library Facebook page. Read Your Mind is a monthly, virtual series focusing on teen mental health & wellness. November’s featured book is The Stepping Off Place by Maine author Cameron Rosenblum. Cameron will be interviewed by fellow Maine YA author Gillian French. Community guests will be The Center for Grieving Children and The Yellow Tulip Project. The program will take place on Wednesday, November 25th from 12 noon to 1 PM virtually via Zoom and streamed to the Lewiston Public Library Facebook page. Register here to attend!

November Preschool Take & Makes are here! LPL Kids is excited to offer Take & Make kits designed for preschool ages, with kits that include activities for young children who are working on fine motor skills, scissor skills, ABC’s, 123’s, shapes, colors, and more! Come see what’s new for November! To request a kit please email us at lplKids@LewistonMaine.gov, call (207) 513-3133, or ask for one when you are here for a browsing appointment.

November is National Novel Writing Month! Calling all young writers: Join us for NaNoWriMo! This year, we are going VIRTUAL:  Zoom write-ins, writing kits that we’ll send to your house, and writing fun on our social media pages. Writing groups are available for elementary, middle, and high school students. You can get a writing kit and the link for the write-ins by calling 207-513-3133 or emailing LPLKIDS@LewistonMaine.govCheck out our website for information about how to register for your LPL team on the NaNoWriMo website.

Lewiston Public Library is now offering expanded library services inside the building, including limited walk-in services at specific times! Learn more about computer services and children’s room visits at LPL by Appointment.
