Highlights:

The December LPL Kids’ Book Boxes are almost ready! Sign up now if you’d like to have our December Book Box delivered to your home — with books and activities that you get to keep! October’s Book Box theme is Common Ground. To sign up for a December box, email us at lplKids@LewistonMaine.gov, or call during business hours at (207) 513-3133.

Sign up to grab a spot for this month’s Teen Book Box! Each box will contain brand new books, a book-related gift, and a craft or activity on the month’s theme. We will mail the box to you and all of the books and materials are yours — free and to keep forever! December’s theme is Juvenile Justice & Incarceration. There are a limited number of boxes available each month, so be sure to register ASAP to reserve your spot!  For more information, contact Harper at
hchance@lewistonmaine.gov.

Join LPL staff for Book Chat: a conversation about what we’re reading, watching, and listening to on Facebook Live. Make suggestions, share your thoughts, find resources, and get personalized recommendations from our librarians. Come to our next Book Chat on Tuesday, December 1st at 11:30am to talk about some of the new titles hitting the shelves this month!

Virtual author visit with Lois Lowry: Join Lewiston Public Library and Lois Lowry for a discussion about her two novels published in 2020, On the Horizon and The Willoughbys Return. The program will take place on Monday, December 14th from 3:30-4:30 PM virtually via Zoom. Register here to attend! For more information, please contact the Lewiston Public Library Children’s Department at 513-3133 or lplkids@lewistonmaine.gov.
