Highlights:
- Celebrate Will Eisner Week: Join LPL in celebrating comics and graphic novel pioneer Will Eisner this week from March 1st through March 7th. Keep an eye on our Facebook, Instagram, and LPL Kids pages where we’ll be recommending comics, graphic novels, and graphic novel-related media each day. Will Eisner Week recognizes the legacy of this innovative and driven creator who championed free speech, literacy, and sequential art; it occurs annually across the globe in conjunction with his March 6th birthday.
- Susan Conley Presents LANDSLIDE in Conversation with Richard Russo: Join LPL and libraries across Maine on Thursday, March 4th at 7 PM, as we celebrate local author Susan Conley’s new novel LANDSLIDE! You can order a copy of Landslide from PRINT: A Bookstore or request it from the Library. Register here to attend!
- Book Chat: Join LPL staff for a conversation about what we’re reading, watching, and listening to on Facebook Live. Our next book chat is coming up on Tuesday, March 2nd at 11:30am. Join us to hear about some of the many new books arriving at the library this month!
- Art Van is Back: Thanks to a generous grant from the Lewiston Auburn Children’s Foundation, we are so excited to be able to welcome back ArtVan to the Children’s Department through take & make art kits called ArtBags! You can pick up your very own ArtBag when you schedule a browsing appointment in the Children’s Department or via LPL To Go. No library card required.
