Highlights:

  • Read Your Mind with Ceylan Scott & Julia Drake: Read Your Mind is a monthly, virtual series focusing on teen mental health & wellness. Featuring YA authors and community health experts, we hope to explore complex and common health concerns through the vehicle of Teen books. In March we will host authors Ceylan Scott & Julia Drake to discuss self-harm behaviors, the influence of guilt and loss, and honest portrayals of hospitalization experiences. Our community partner for this is event is NAMI Maine. The program will take place on Wednesday, March 31st at 12 noon virtually via Zoom and streamed to the Lewiston Public Library Facebook page.   • National Poetry Month: Join Lewiston Public Library for a virtual poetry celebration throughout the month of April! We will be highlighting (mostly) Maine poets reading their own poetry in short videos posted on LPL’s Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube pages — be sure to follow along with  us!
  • Great Falls Forum with Jared Golden: The 2020-2021 season of the Great Falls Forum continues on Thursday, April 8, featuring Congressman Jared Golden. The program will take place from 1-2 PM virtually via Zoom and streamed to the Lewiston Public Library Facebook page. More information coming soon!

Browsing is Back! LPL is once again allow inside browsing of the 1st and 2nd floors during specific hours, including Saturdays.

Children’s Room Appointments: The Lewiston Public Library Children’s Department has appointments daily.

LPL To Go is still available! Although we are now open for browsing at certain times of day, LPL To Go is still available for hold pick-up. Simply call the Lending desk at (207) 513-3134 when you arrive and staff will check out your items and meet you at the Pine Street door.
