- Fridays: 10am–1pm and 3–5pm
- Summer Saturdays: 10am–2pm
The building will be cleared at the end of each block, so patrons should plan accordingly. LPL To Go door pickup will still be offered throughout the day.
Children’s Room No Longer Requires Appointments!
The Children’s Department is now open daily during the same time slots as the rest of the building. Unvaccinated patrons ages five and up are still required to wear a mask. Maine Reciprocal Borrowing is Back!
Following the pilot edition in 2019 which was cut short by the pandemic, the Maine Reciprocal Borrowing Program (MRBP) has returned! This program will enable Lewiston patrons to check out items at nearly 40 libraries across Maine including Lisbon, Topsham, and even the State Library, potentially with the other participants joining soon. Starting July 1, 2021 this system allows members to use Lewiston Library cards at any MRBP locations on a walk-in basis instead of ordering items and waiting for an interlibrary loan delivery. Patrons are required to have their physical library cards to checkout and returns can be made either at the borrowing or home library. There are different types of libraries participating including public, university, health and other specializations. For more information, please contact the Lending Department at lplcirc@lewistonmaine.gov or 513-3134 or visit our website.
LPL To Go is still available!
Although we are now open for browsing at certain times of day, LPL To Go is still available for hold pick-up.
