What’s New?
  • Library closure for Thanksgiving: The Library will be closing at 5pm on Wednesday, November 24th. We will be closed Thursday and Friday. We will re-open at 10am on Saturday, November 27th.
This Week at LPL
  • 2-Sentence Horror Story Winners Chosen! Congratulations to the three winners of the Lewiston Public Library 2-Sentence Horror Story Contest! These three stories received the most votes out of 134 entries into the contest. Winners are being contacted by library staff with instructions on how to claim their prize. Thank you to all who entered into the contest and to all who participated in voting!
  • Virtual Storytime, Tuesdays @ 10:30am: Storytime is a fun, interactive activity for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers that helps introduce children to the world of books, learning, and the library.
  • National Novel Writing Month: Virtual Write-Ins every Wednesday and Saturday of November from 9 to 11 AM
Next Week at LPL
  • Friends of LPL Book Sale: Saturday, December 4th at 10:30am. The Friends of the Lewiston Public Library are excited to announce that they will be hosting a book sale! The event will be held in Callahan Hall and will run from 10:30am-3pm, preceded by the Friends annual meeting at 10am. There will be a large selection of fiction and nonfiction items for all ages including audiobooks, music CDs, and DVDs. All proceeds from sales and donations are used to fund library programs, special events, and purchases not covered by the annual budget. Payment must be in the form of cash or check only.
