What’s New?
  • Request the Purchase of an Item — The library welcomes suggestions for the purchase of books, movies, music, eBooks, and audiobooks that are not currently available in the collection. If the item is not owned by any Maine library, we may be able to purchase it for our collection.

 

This Week at LPL
  • Teen Library Ambassadors, Wednesday, December 15th @ 3:30pm — Do you want to plan your own program or event? Is there a manga series you think we should have? Do you want to run a gaming tournament? Do you like writing reviews, taking photos, or making videos? The library needs you!
  • Unfortunately, our free popcorn making demonstration scheduled for December 16th has been cancelled. You can still pick up a free popcorn making kit from our Lending Desk until December 18th.

 

Next Week at LPL
  • Literary Lunch with National Association of Black Storytellers, Tuesday, December 21st @ 12pm, Virtual — In her story, Karen “Queen Nur” Abdul-Malik will talk about her love of libraries when she was growing up and will include interactive storytelling celebration that engages social emotional learning competencies.
  • Holiday Trivia Night, Tuesday, December 21st @ 5:30pm, Virtual — The theme for this trivia night is holidays from around the world. All are welcome to participate to learn about various holidays and their traditions while playing for a chance to win prizes.
  • Holiday Hours:
    • Thursday, December 23rd: early closing at 1pm
    • Friday, December 24th: closed
    • Saturday, December 25th: closed
