What’s New?
- Celebrate Pride Month with Kanopy Films — As part of Pride Month, Kanopy proudly presents this collection of films that celebrates the diversity within the LGBTQ+ community, while also presenting a close look at the social and political issues still faced by these groups around the world.
- Pride Month Book Display — Check our our display on the first floor by the bulletin board! These books feature new and noteworthy fiction with LGBTQ+ characters; romance with gay, lesbian, bi, trans, and nonbinary leads; along with powerful true stories and compelling biographies.
This Week at LPL
- LPL at L/A Pride Fest, Saturday, June 11th @ 12pm — Staff will be at the park to share books, resources, summer reading programs, and host a family-friendly Storytime at 1pm. Stop by and take a reading break with a few of our favorite LGBTQ+ books!
Next Week at LPL
- Lego Club! Wednesday, June 15th @ 4pm — Lego Club is back! Come build with us in the Children’s department on Wednesdays. There will be optional themes and prompts, or simply build from your imagination. We supply the Legos, you supply the creativity! Ages 5-12. No sign-up required.
- Teen Tabletop RPGs, Thursday, June 2nd @ 4pm — LPL Teen will be hosting a series of one-shot tabletop roleplaying games, in person in the teen lounge on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month from 4-6pm, from April-June. Supplies will be provided – just bring yourself and your creative mind!
