What’s New?
  • Hispanic Heritage Month on Kanopy. For National Hispanic Heritage Month, Kanopy has curated a collection of films that pay tribute to Hispanic heritage, while also highlighting the representation of this community on screen.
This Week at LPL
  • Crafting Circle, Monday, September 26th at 2pm. Have a craft you started that is now collecting dust? We are hosting a crafting circle for people to come and bring a craft to work on. Come, meet, and learn from like-minded people.
  • Teen Library Ambassadors, Monday, September 26th at 4pm. Do you want to plan your own program or event? Is there a manga series you think we should have? Do you want to run a gaming tournament? Do you like writing reviews, taking photos, or making videos? The library needs you!
  • Art Walk, Friday, September 30th at 5pm. The 2022 season of Art Walk comes to a close this Friday. The library will be hosting artwork created through Creative Works.
Next Week at LPL
  • Preserving the Harvest, Tuesday, October 4th at 4pm. Ever wonder how to preserve all those great fall apples? This hands-on food preservation workshop, taught by UMaine Extension volunteers and staff, teaches you the basic steps for canning and freezing applesauce
  • Rhythm, Rhyme, and Storytime, Saturday, October 8th at 11am. Rhythm movement creates the perfect opportunity for fun-filled learning as you watch your child develop their vocabulary, creative thinking and listening skills, as well as large and fine motor skills.
