What’s New?
  • Start Summit, Friday, February 3rd at 10am. Are you interested in learning more about starting a business that has a positive impact on the world? At this fun and fast-paced event, you’ll experience what it’s like to build a startup team and race to develop a business—all with the support of experts and colleagues and fueled by good food!
  • Silly Books to Make You Laugh. Did you know that Dragons Love Tacos? Visit the Children’s Department to check out books about taco eating dragons and more entertaining stories from our new display of silly and funny books to make you laugh!

 

This Week @ LPL
  • Board Game Night, Monday, January 23rd at 4:30pm. The Library will be featuring the game LCR (Left, Center, Right) on this board game night. Come at 4:30 pm for instruction on how to play LCR or come at 5 pm to play any game we have available.
  • Make Art with ArtVan, Wednesday, January 11th at 3:30pm. ArtVan is a mobile art program that brings hands-on creative art opportunities for self-expression, personal growth, and fun. All of their projects aim to inspire art-making with a variety of materials to explore.
  • Teen Yoga, Wednesday, January 11th at 3:30pm. This 6 week yoga series is designed to support teens in building skills they can use to relax, manage stress and connect with each other.
  • Youth Trading Card Game Club, Thursday, January 12th at 4pm. Join the Youth Trading Card Game Club to play, learn, trade, and compete with your peers! Games will include Pokémon, Magic: the Gathering, and more!
  • LEGO® Club, Saturday, January 14th at 2pm. Let your imagination run wild or join an engineering challenge using LEGO® and K’Nex. We provide the materials, you provide the creativity.

 

Next Week @ LPL
  • Line Dancing, Monday, January 30th at 4pm. Come enjoy line dancing, no matter if you are a novice or a seasoned pro. This program is free and open to all age groups.
  • Saving Money on Home Energy Bills, Wednesday, February 1st at 5pm. Come learn more about what you can do to save money in your home and be more comfortable year-round, and bring your questions about what options make the most sense and will save the most money!
  • Create, Experiment, & Discover, Thursday, February 2nd at 4pm. Starting this February, we will be offering after school activities every Thursday afternoon from 4-5pm. Activities will vary weekly and will encourage children to express themselves through creative projects and STEAM-based activities, while promoting social and emotional learning.
