What’s New?
  • The Lewiston/Auburn Read Book Announcement. Start reading Maxi’s Secrets today with our community. Be on the lookout for more announcements about related library programs, book discussions, interviews with the author, photo challenges and more.
  • Join the North Star Reading Challenge. Win free copies of the books, vote for this year’s NSYA Award winner, and enter the grand prize raffle for a $50 gift certificate to Bull Moose and two $20 gift certificates to Dunkin’!
  • Women’s History Month on Kanopy. As a part of Women’s History Month, we’d like to share a collection of films on Kanopy that celebrates the milestones achieved by women across history. Library card holders can access these films for free!
  • Learn Irish Standard with Mango Languages. Get in the spirit by logging into Mango’s Irish Standard and St. Patrick’s Day courses through the Lewiston Public Library before the big day!

  • Homeschool Lego Club & Curriculum Swap, Monday, March 13th at 11:15am. The Children’s Department will be offering weekly programs for homeschool families on the first three Mondays of every month from 11:15am-12:30pm. The programs are designed to offer homeschool families the opportunity to have fun and socialize through gaming, crafts, and storytime.
  • Parable Path Discussion Project, starting Tuesday, March 14th at 5:30pm. The Lewiston Public Library will host a three-session Discussion Project this spring entitled “What if community is the key to our resilience?” facilitated by Samara Cole Doyon.
  • Crafting Circle, Wednesday, March 15th at 4:30pm. Lewiston Public Library is hosting a crafting circle for people to come and bring a craft to work on. Come, meet, and learn from like-minded people.
  • Great Falls Forum, Thursday, March 16th at 12pm. This Great Falls Forum panel will explore what they believe are the greatest challenges–and opportunities–for Maine agriculture as 2023 continues to get underway.
  • Create, Experiment, & Discover, Thursday, March 16th at 4pm. This week’s project is Homemade Stickers!

  • Seeds of Spring: L/A Celebration, Monday, March 20th at 5pm. Learn about the importance of native plants, eliminating chemical fertilizers, pollinator gardens, and more. Whether you’re new to gardening or have had a garden your whole life, all are welcome!
