This Week @ LPL
  • The State of Maine’s Loons. Wednesday, March 29th at 11:00am. Learn from Maine Audubon conservation staff about loons in Maine and their efforts to protect them.
  • Recycled Graphic Novel Picture Frames. Wednesday, March 29th at 5:00pm. We will be hosting a program where children will be able to create a decoupage picture frame using pages of discarded graphic novels and comic books. Best suited for children ages 10-14.
  • Create, Experiment, & Discover. Thursday, March 30th at 4:00pm. This week’s project is Spring Flowers!
  • Maine Humanities Council Community Reception. Friday, March 31st at 4:00pm. Join the Maine Humanities Council and Lewiston Public Library for a community reception celebrating Samaa Abdurraqib, the MHC’s new executive director. Hear from Samaa about her vision for the coming years, and have a chance to chat with her informally too.
  • North Star YA Award Voting. It’s time to vote for this year’s North Star YA Award winner! Teens who read 3 or more NSYA books are eligible to vote for their favorite book at their school or public library. Cast your vote for your favorite title from the list of nominees by March 31st, 2023.

  • Introduction to Line Dancing. Wednesday, April 5th at 5:00pm. Come enjoy line dancing, no matter if you are a novice or a seasoned pro.
  • Preschool Playdate! Beginning Thursday, April 6th at 3:00pm. Participants are invited to drop-in, socialize, and play with an assortment of toys and activities, including a play kitchen with felt food!
